Shelby City Park Carrousel Friends, Inc. "To help preserve, promote, and enhance Shelby's Antique
Carrousel and the Carrousel Experience at Shelby City Park;
Shelby City Park Carrousel Friends, Inc. is a not-for
-profit 501(c)3 organization of interested citizens dedicated to promoting,
encouraging, and assisting the City of Shelby's Carousel Restoration Project.
The circa 1919 Herschell-Spillman carousel is one of approximately 175
operating authentic wooden carousels from an amusement industry that flourished
in the years between 1885 and 1930.
